WG5 – Integration of Cancer Secondary Prevention within Health Services

WG5 focuses on embedding cancer prevention and early detection activities into existing health systems.
It promotes integration, efficiency, and continuity of care through:

• Collecting and comparing national experiences in integrating cancer screening into primary and secondary healthcare services.
• Analyzing organizational models and identifying key success factors.
• Developing guidelines and recommendations for policymakers and health authorities to facilitate implementation.
• Promoting collaboration between preventive services, diagnostic pathways, and treatment centres.

By linking prevention with broader health services, WG5 contributes to sustainable and system-wide improvements in cancer control.
