WG2 aims to build a shared research platform that fosters cross-border collaboration and innovation in cancer screening.
Its objectives include:
- Identifying common research questions and designing multicountry studies to address existing knowledge gaps.
- Mapping and coordinating ongoing projects to promote synergy and resource sharing.
- Exploring screening personalization, including risk-stratified approaches based on individual characteristics.
- Investigating genetic predisposition management and its implications for early detection programmes.
- Assessing the role of technological innovations, such as Artificial Intelligence in image analysis and self-sampling for cervical cancer screening.
- Developing joint study protocols and facilitating access to international research funding.
WG2 provides a scientific backbone for Medi-CaSE, promoting research excellence and innovation in cancer prevention.
