Welcome to Medi-CaSE
the Mediterranean Cancer Screening and Early Diagnosis Network
Who We Are
Cancer remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide, and the Mediterranean region is no exception. Across its diverse countries, the implementation of cancer control policies and screening programmes varies widely — from well-established systems in high-income countries to more constrained situations in low- and middle-income settings.
The Mediterranean Cancer Screening and Early Diagnosis Network (Medi-CaSE) was created to bridge these gaps, foster collaboration, and promote innovation in cancer prevention across the region.
Medi-CaSE is a COST Action (CA23151) — a collaborative research network funded by COST, the European Cooperation in Science and Technology.
Through this framework, Medi-CaSE brings together experts, institutions, and stakeholders from Mediterranean and neighbouring countries to strengthen cancer screening and early diagnosis capacity across the region.
